Sweepstakes Rules
Last updated: May 2026
These rules apply to any sweepstakes, contest, or giveaway run by Mello. The specific dates, prizes, and entry method for each sweepstakes are announced when it opens. No purchase is necessary to enter or win.
A purchase will not increase your chances of winning. Where a purchase or subscription is offered as an entry method, a free alternative entry method is always available.
1. Sponsor
Each sweepstakes is organised by Francis Kouaho (trading as Emplica Lab), publisher of the Mello app, 119 rue Saint-Sébastien, 78300 Poissy, France. SIREN 813 815 966. Contact: [email protected].
2. Eligibility
Unless a specific sweepstakes states otherwise, entry is open to legal residents of the eligible countries listed in that sweepstakes who are 18 years or older at the time of entry. Employees of the Sponsor and members of their immediate family or household are not eligible. Void where prohibited by law.
3. Entry period
Each sweepstakes runs only during the period stated in its announcement. Entries submitted before the start or after the end of that period will not be accepted. The Sponsor’s clock is the official timekeeper.
4. How to enter
- Follow the entry instructions published for the specific sweepstakes (for example, completing a form, replying by email, or an in-app action).
- No purchase necessary. A free alternative entry method is always provided.
- One entry per person unless the specific sweepstakes states otherwise.
- Entries that are incomplete, fraudulent, automated, or submitted in bad faith are void.
5. Prizes
The number of winners, the prize, and its value are stated in each sweepstakes announcement. Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash, except at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. If a stated prize becomes unavailable, the Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
6. Winner selection and notification
Winners are selected at random from all eligible entries within 30 days after the sweepstakes closes. Each winner is notified by email and must respond within the time stated in the notification (at least 48 hours). If a winner does not respond in time, is ineligible, or declines the prize, an alternate winner may be selected. Prizes are shipped or delivered within 90 days of confirmation.
7. Disqualification
The Sponsor may disqualify any entrant who provides false information, tampers with the entry process, violates these rules, or acts in a way that is abusive or disruptive. The Sponsor may suspend, modify, or cancel a sweepstakes if fraud, technical failure, or any factor beyond its control compromises its integrity.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, entrants release the Sponsor from any liability for loss, injury, or damage arising from participation in a sweepstakes or the acceptance, use, or misuse of a prize. The Sponsor is not responsible for late, lost, or misdirected entries, or for technical failures of any kind.
9. Personal data
Personal data collected to run a sweepstakes (such as your name and email) is processed only to administer the sweepstakes, contact winners, and meet legal obligations. It is handled in line with our Privacy Policy. Winners may be asked to consent to publication of their first name and last initial.
10. Governing law
These rules are governed by French law. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably will be submitted to the competent French courts, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
11. Winners list
For the name of the winners of a closed sweepstakes, email [email protected] within 60 days of its closing date.
